RADOV at the Radiation Sterilisation and Microbiological Decontamination School

The eighteenth edition of the Radiation Sterilisation and Microbiological Decontamination School took place on October 16-17, 2025, at the INCT. This annual event aims to provide information on radiation sterilization, highlighting the opportunities it presents and its various applications. The online meeting attracted around 70 participants, primarily from companies interested in radiation sterilization or those already using this method to sterilize different products. This event served as an excellent opportunity to promote the objectives and research conducted within the RADOV project to the industry. Dr Marta Walo delivered a lecture outlining the project's scope and discussed the method of radiation grafting of polyolefin foils to create integrations with antioxidant hen egg-derived products obtained through electron beam irradiation.
